Welcome to Theater Arts! (Week of September 9)

Theater I students should make a habit of visiting this page to:
  1. Find PowerPoints/notes from class sessions they have missed.
  2. Discover additional information about class topics they are interested in.
  3. Find the plan for the week and any handouts/examples needed for class.

This week in class (September 9 through September 13):

Monday 9/9: 
  • Story Maps DUE.  (They will be accepted LATE until Wednesday.)
  • Topic: Storytelling.
  • Story Map Presentations in front of class.
Tuesday 9/10:
  • Story Maps will still be accepted (count for no more than 70%).
  • Topic: Pantomime and Tableau.
  • Vocabulary: pantomime, tableau, blocking.
  • Group work: Create and present a short series of three tableaus in class.
Wednesday 9/11:
  • Final day Story Maps will be accepted (count for no more than 70%).
  • Topic: Primitive Theater (Rituals)
